I'm positive there are mountains of terrible amateur and B-movies out there, but the worst feature film, one that was actually released in theaters, has got to be Manos: The Hands of Fate. The writer and director was a fertilizer salesman if that gives you any indication of the crappiness of this movie.

Worst Movies Released Recently
Flight of Fury--Just the same old Segal crap with a new title.
"The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning"---Dumb
Borat--Dumber and universally insulting.
"Open Season" --Very lame compared to the quality animations that have been released recently.
"Farce of the Penguins"--First 15 mins were terrible...it might get better but I couldn't stand anymore.
"Crank"--Lots of action with very little plot.
"The Night Listener"--The most depressing Robin Williams movie ever.
"Jackass: Number Two"--all of them for that matter!
"My Super Ex-Girlfriend" --Dumb.
"A Scanner Darkly" --Only to be watched while on drugs.
"The Wicker Man"--The worst Nicolas Cage movie so far, but he has some coming out this year that may be even worse....
"Barnyard"--Male "cow" with teets....'nough said.
"Superman Returns"--No plot....gay Superman who ducked out on his parental obligations....hummmmm....
Nacho Libre and any other movie with Jack Black. Yuck!

I have to rely on a classic: Plan 9 from Outer Space.
Where to start?
The screenwriter/director/producer got money from the Baptist Church of Beverly Hills by agreeing to have the entire cast baptized. One of the actors was too large to fit in the baptismal and had to have the act done in a swimming pool.
Cardboard tombstones (that fall over and no one does anything about it).
Incompetent acting -- one of the actors was cast just because he could roll his eyes back in his head, another because he had access to a police car.
One of the central actors (Bela Lugosi) died with only a handful of scenes filmed. He was replaced by a chiropractor who was a foot taller and hid his face behind a cape.
Special effects: pie tins with sparklers attached as Flying Saucers.
Shots of the actors go back and forth between day and night -- in the same scene.
The plot? It's summed up in the original title: Grave Robbers from Outer Space. Other than that, it really doesn't make much sense -- like that does!
