The moon would be extremely bright for a moment and would likely have a cloud of debris for some time. Some of that debris might even come Earthward and land on your head. #ouch#

The moon would look mighty pretty for a while.
But -- if the explosions were strong enough, then radioactive debris might rain onto the Earth. Not a good idea, so don't do it.
