They talked about this on our local news this morning (I'm 50 miles south-east of Minneapolis). The way they phrased it was that they had "to wait for warmer weather to continue their study on global warming".

I don't think that a two degree increase in the average global temperature makes any difference.

"The day they set off from Ward Hunt Island, a plane landing near the women hit their gear, punching a hole in Bancroft's sled and damaging one of Arnesen's snowshoes."
A complete accident, I'm sure.

That's not really that funny.

Global Warming is called GLOBAL Warming for a reason. You can't take one location and draw a reasonable conclusion from it. In addition, worldwide climate change effects the sea and air currents and leads to very unpredictable responses.

Global warming alarmists have got all their bases covered. If it's hot it's due to global warming. If it's cold, it's due to global warming. If it rains, global warming. Snows, global warming. Doesn't rain or snow, global warming. Any time its not a sunny 78 degrees outside it's global warming. "Nut jobs" describe them perfectly.

The only thing I found funny was these people had made a similar excurision before and didn't prepare well this time. It sounded like they were expecting 60 degree weather instead of minus 60 (in their tent). So a little frostbite serves them right.

Wow that Global Warming is really heating up the world isn't it...and it is kinda of funny...went out to prove Global Warming and got frost bite...that is ironic...that's like going out to prove some sharks are kind and gentle and being attacked by one...

The phrase 'global warming' does not mean it's hot all over the globe, moron. Look, you don't have to believe it or whatever, just leave the rest of us be.

"They were experiencing temperatures that weren't expected with global warming," Atwood said. "But one of the things we see with global warming is unpredictability."

Geesh. These people just won't give up!
