oh my god! I was thinking the same thing! I have to wear camisoles under everything. I guess theyre designed for thoes who want to show off their new boobs during pregnancy. But for me already being a D cup and then they are now getting bigger i do not need all that boob hanging out of my tops for work

Love the 'it's the same guy who forgot the pockets in the pants'...
Yes, yes. It's not just you.
Don't get me started on how much it sucks if your pregnancy-addled acne is bad enough that you break out a bit on your chest, too. Bleah.
The Gap (the maternity version thereof, I mean) usually has some decent, non-slutty tops.
And -- what's with all the spandex? Okay, wearing something cut like a pillowcase wouldn't be very flattering, but -- there're loads of maternity tops that are low-cut AND skin-tight.
I grant that there's a "trying to draw attention towards something besides a belly" aspect, but -- I don't think most people are that easily fooled...

My sister and I were wondering the SAME THING!. I seems like I can't find a maternity shirt that ISN'T low cut!! They are ALL low cut!! It's weird! Regular clothes don't even show this much cleavage...I'm not sure what maternity clothes designers are thinking...
I have definately noticed the same thing!

I understand what you're speaking approximately, i'm exceedingly small around the waist yet I certainly have a c cup and that i admire lovable shirts. I positioned on them fequently and men do no longer think of i'm undemanding using fact I carry my head up and enable them to be attentive to that i'm no longer. exhibiting it off is nice once you're doing it for the spectacular motives, to no longer get laid. only decide for it, in case you think of that's slightly low cut back you are able to positioned on a cami.

I hated all my maternity tops for that reason... I decided to go to Wal-Mart and buy some nice plus sized women's shirts.. They worked perfectly.... You can go to a plus sized store and find very nice tops that don't show off the goods....
I think They are low cut to make it easier to breast feed once baby arrives....

Well, a lot of women (like me) don't have much to speak of up top unless pregnant so it's kind of nice to show it off. I like maternity clothes that are kind of sexy. After all, sex is what got us this way, so why should we have to look like Aunt Bea? I'd rather people notice my cleavage as opposed to my ever-expanding tummy and butt anyway.

If you're at all adept at sewing, you can sew a faux camisole into the "V" of the shirt--covers up the cleavage and no double layers.

prob. because most women boobs get huge and they want to show them off, but mine are 34 A before pregnancy and with my daughter they just went up to a B so I have nothing to show off, lol

I also hate them. My husband tells me that they design shirts that way so that the attention is drawn to your chest, as opposed to your enlarging belly and lower parts - lol! I am starting to believe he is right, but it is funny to think that is the reason why, huh?
