People, why are you standing by Gen. Pace? After his remarks, he refused to apologize. I am straight, but I am deeply offended that he won't allow someone to support their own fine country JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE ATTRACTED TO THE SAME SEX. He even compared it to adultery! Not true at all. Homosexuality is neither a choice nor a sin, and it is perfectly normal.

General Peter Pace, I find you to be immoral.

What do you think on this topic?

I think he is an idiot but I know no more about his moral character than he does mine so I won't make the same mistakes he made and judge his morals.

First of all he did not say gays should not be allowed in the military. Second he has a right to his opinion and beliefs, Third I find your remarks offensive, so should you not be allowed to voice them? HMMMM!! Last time I checked, we were in America. Think about it. By the way when did he not allow gays in the military? Did you get all that from the short sound byte played on the news?

i imagine some human beings are at a loss for words right here. prevalent %. did not exhibit a political opinion. He expressed a own, moral opinion. that's the novel left it truly is attempting to politicize the fact. the overall did not say he replaced into attempting to regulate the present "do not ask, do not tell" coverage with regards to homosexuals in the defense force. He basically suggested that he in my view seen the habit immoral. maximum human beings believe that position, by ability of ways. prevalent %. ought to no longer be censured, disciplined, or derided for expressing his own opinion.

I agree completely. He is so typical of the self-righteous, sanctimonious, hateful bigots who gripe on about everybody else, such as Newt Gingrich who went on forever about Clinton & Monica, all while Newt was having an adulterous affair. Pace and the others are only inciting more intolerance and bigotry. I can't imagine anybody really wanting to be part of the army, considering that the Iraq mission is so over the top with confusion and failure. So if Pace doesn't like gays being in the service, then fine. At least, he has shown his bigotry and hatred for what it is.

I agree with you. Pace is a very disgusting man. Even after those horrible words, he still does not want to apologize. He's a bigot who does not deserve his position.

Mr. Pace has personal issues that need to be resolved and not butting into other peoples lifes. Our fellow soldiers are risking their lifes for ours and I am personally grateful for their bravery. On the other hand Mr. Pace needs to be wacked in the head with a bible.

I support the Pace. I'm glad to see someone sharing their mind and telling it like it is. Homosexuals shouldn't serve in our military. It's immoral and can compromise the mission.

Besides, where's the tolerance you liberals and homosexuals always preach?

I believe morality has been defined consistently throughout all cultures and society from the beginning of time. Deviance and immorality has also been consistent since the beginning of time. Without morality there would be complete chaos in this world. If you think about it, just about every culture on this earth agrees that homosexuality is immoral. Just as incest and adultery are considered immoral. However, the trend around the world is tolerance to homosexuality because homesexuality is so prevalent now it appears to be normal. The problem is that tolerance has it's consequences when it comes to tolerating something immoral. That's the problem with tolerance today. Parents let their kids watch sex, violance, disrespect for authority, degradation, foul language, and all other kinds of immorality on TV. Now society has learned to tolerate this as the norm. So, as long as we as people do "whatever feels good" and look to change what is actually morally correct for the good of society we will continue to perpetuate chaos as we disturb the natural order of life. How long before chaos becomes the norm? I have no choice but to tolerate homosexuality; however; it is still immoral and only the future of mankind will show the long term consequences from deviating from natural order of life. If homosexuality is so right then why is that the majority of the world across all cultures considers it immoral? I agree with General Pace, he spoke the truth and I stand by the truth whether people like it or not. The majority of men and women in the military are not gay. Can you imagine how the morality of our troops would be effected if a homosexual was allowed to ask out a straight person on a date or to have sex. I think there would be many distractions and a lot more trouble fueled by hostilities if gays were allowed to be open in the military. Surely people don't think that a gay soldier would not ask a straight soldier out. Can you imagine how that situation could turn out? It's hard enough being in the military and trying to keep your focus without having the distraction of homosexuals exercising their rights openly. We need order in this world. Tolerance does not = Morality

I agree with you, but why do you think we are just standing by? What is it you expect us to do? Most gays are quite accustomed to being treated this way by just about every organization and group!
Even people in this column are bigotted and use Y!A as a venue to spew their hate. (see JJ)

haha. A man who has commited his life to mass murder is calling someone ELSE immoral. I support our armed forces but this is kind of like the pot calling the kettle black.
