Sexual Slaves? I believe that it has never occurred in history. The rich and powerful in the past, treated with most respect their servants. And their slaves were never utilized for sex. It is today that with all the sexual revolution, people are pushed into sexual slavery, because our modern society enjoys watching these acts. Even the church people had hard times, because some of their members enjoyed the exploitation of youngsters. These are our times, since 1970s until today.

The key word here is slave. A woman had no right to refuse sex with her husband in many cultures including our own until quite recently. And women were viewed as property; first of their fathers and then of their husbands.
However, "slave" implies the right to sell a human being and this was not a "normal occurrence" although there was slavery.
Another historical point is that in Roman times during the Republic it was considered low and contemptible to have sex with female slaves - almost like having sex with animals. It was only later that this became a common practice.

Only women who were actual slaves, such as during the height of the british empire.
There is an unfortunate myth that when men were the head of households, that women were regularly beaten and raped just for fun. What people arguing this point fail to realise is that a man marries a woman because he loves her. And the vast majority of marriages do not involve abuse from either partner.

yes. rich men often had several wives or concubines that did not mean a thing to him except more sex. women also used to be considered men's property, so they could do whatever they wanted with them, even hit them or lock them up. thank God this all changed before i came around.
