I am amazed at the number of "questions" designed to marginalize and destroy him.

Candidates don't normally warrant the left's "politics of personal destruction" this early in the game unless someone is running very, very scared!

Rudy is the only GOP candidate that can beat the team of Clinton/Obama.
They originally thought he would be rejected by the far right in the primaries, but apparently most Repubs have decided that beating Hillary is more important than being pro life.
As we will see, when it comes to brutal, gutter politics, no one is dirtier than Mrs Clinton.
BTW' is anyone else surprised at how incredibly awful Hillary is on the campaign trail...about as bad as anyone I've ever seen.

I don't think we are worried about Giuliani, per se.

You just really can't rely on Yahoo! Answers as some sort of a straw poll. The people who post here aren't representive of the typical voter and people tend to ask questions that are repeats of other questions. Many people hang around just to troll. Even if ther seem to you to be a higher proportion of Giuliani "questions" that is not really indicative of anything.

As a liberal Democrat, I have no problem with Giuliani. If a Democrat cannot win in 2008, he is a close as one can get to being a Democrat. He is very Liberal and has good leadership qualities and there is still checks and balances with the democratic house and senate, so no, I am not worried.

Why should anyone be afraid of Rudy Giuliani? He was a man who was a failure up until 9/11 and then he did what would be expected of any big city mayor. He has had no experience at state or federal level and that is pointed out by his detractors. He would be a Godsend for the Democrats. He would be among the GOP's possible Presidential candidates that would be easiest to defeat. No, I think you misinterpret Mr. Giuliani's detractors as afraid of him.

I don't think they are 'worried' about RG...he is just free game, as are the rest of the candidates.

Think about it...with all the slamming of Hillary and Obama...do you believe that is all borne out of Republican fear? Nope. Just more of the same mudslinging that all the candidates receive.

We really aren't worried about him. The truth is the more we demonize him, the more neoconservatives think he is the man for them. So we are really just setting NeoCons up to want a true conservative in office and not one of their christian right wingers.

I think G-man is the Dems best hope of winning. G-man is a liberal in republican clothing with the exception of his multiple wives and mistresses. He may have been a good mayor (I don't know). Presidential elections are a whole different level.

I think Hillary is scared of Guiliani. He is a true contender because of his proven leadership which she cannot match.
