Will you can be responsible with feeding it and cleaning its cage? Do you have the money to buy its food weekly? Is the rabbit free? Do you have a good place to keep him so he is warm and can run for exercise and can see out the cage? If you can answer yes to all these questions, present it to your parents like that. Maybe you could all sit down and discuss the reasons why or why not. You might suggest giving something up, like TV one night a week, if they will trust you. If they are so strong that you can not get it, ask at what age they will let you have a rabbit. Good luck! P.S. I just had a great idea. Research about raising a rabbit on the computer. Then you can tell your parents you are so serious that you have read about how to take care of a rabbit. Perhaps you can get some pamphlets from the local pet store.

If you are responsible in school in your chores and things of everyday Life, then you should be able to get your parents to trust that you can take care of all the rabbit's needs. Ohh yeah also pay for everything the rabbit needs ... that might help....

Do you have any pets if not:
convince them that having a pet will make you and your sibblings more affectionate.
I tried that with my parents, i also told them rabbits were low maintenance and vet bills dont cost alot.

Have you ever had a pet before? If not then show your parents that you have researched this decision and show them that you can be responsible for the animal. That's all i can tell you. Good luck.

This is a tough one! I say just buy it or reserve it and make your parents keep it after they have seen how well you took care of it! I know exactly how you feel! Good luck!

Tell them he won't eat much, he can be litterbox trained and that if he doesn't work out - he's edible.
