If the journal entry is related to a book write about charachter development, plot development and themes
if its freestyle choose a random thing that focuses on past, or future
past: what you did some time ago and what you think about it now, what could you have done different
future: what will you do some time in the future and how you plan on doing it.

Write about an event in your life, an everyday "slice of life" event, that made you happy or caused some type of new philosophy to emerge within you regarding the situation.
