What he said is right it is Immoral and he does not need to support this lifestyle!
What you do behind your private door is fine but everyone else should not have to support this lifestyle. I know folks who are gay and I get along with them just fine. I respect the person because my God said to respect all but my faith could not support the life style since it goes against the word of GOD.
What your option?
GOD Bless America!!! ;-)

He is allowed to his say it.

I happen to think gays in the military kind of bad thing.

Think about this heterosexuals are attracted to the opposite sex. This is one of the reasons why men and women don’t share showers because of that attraction between the two. In the military the quarters are tight and we have had how many scandals of two people messing around.
Now lets take the homosexual who is attracted to his/her sex. Letting them shower and being in close quarters with the sex you are attracted to be kind of uncomfortable. Like guys and girls sleeping and showering together.

Homosexuals are just like everyone else they can’t control their desires like a light switch.

When pose this question and thoughts made me rethink the idea.

I think it's important that we realize people make mistakes by talking before thinking. from what i've heard on the news general pace didn't intend to have his personal decision aired for everyone to hear. he doesn't support military personnel coming out with their sexuality but he does support the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. why do we really need to know our military personnels sexual orientation anyways. don't get me wrong i don't have a personal issue with it. my brother in law is gay and it doesn't bother me. it's his choice and his life.

Why should he be quiet? He's the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and as such, should be forthright about his opinion regarding military policy. Can you imagine MacArthur's or Patton's response to such a question? Our military, now more than ever, needs warriors not pc diplomats.

SInce he said it was his opinion...who cares..it is an opinion, and we all have them, just because he is in a position of power doesn't mean that he can't have them

He screwed up. I'll quote his "clarification" that he made today.

"I should have focused more on my support of the policy (Don't ask, don't tell) and less on my personal moral views."

Yes, he should have.

That is his personal opinion.
The biggest sexual problem in the military is not homosexuals but heterosexual rape and sexual harrasment.

Interesting that the British military has no problem with homosexuals serving in their Armed Forces.

BTW You contradict yourself.

It is good to see at least one of our leaders has a spine. I only hope he keeps it.
