unleaded 87 octane or above

I put premium (91+ octane) in all my bikes.
Sport bikes like the GSXR all use premium. They run at high compression so premium is required. Lower octane will ping and performance will suffer and you will ruin the engine soon. You can limp home on regular if you need to, but take it easy and do not make a practice of it.

not sure... i can tell you that the gsxrs for sale at the suzuki dealer ('06-'07) have a sticker on the tank saying to only use premium. So I put 92 octane in my '04 750. You have an owners manual?
