Hi,
I am doing the tissue culture and virology stuff. Can anybody tell me what is rescued virus as they are mentioning in most of the research papers. And why it is needed?

When people talk about rescuing a virus, or a rescued virus, they're talking about a viruses that have been removed from a sample, usually of cultured cells, though sometimes human samples...

...but that doesn't quite sound like what you're talking about, can you give it to me in a sentence?
