I'm looking for something smooth-writing, fine-point, and not reallly gelly. I'm left handed, so whatever I write I sometimes smudge with my hand immediately after if it doesn't dry quick enough (like the gel types!). Also, it can't go through the paper.

Looking for very specific names, brands, models.

Thanks. :)

P.S. I'm looking for writing pens, not drawing. This was the only category that came up relevant... even though I'm not looking to draw with them. :P

I really like Pilot's G-2... they have a comfy grip, write smoothly, dry quickly, and since they click... you don't have to worry about losing the top... and they come in all kinds of awesome colors...

Also, I really like the feel of Uni-ball Vision Fine... I think the ink is not as thick as the Pilot G-2... but I like to write in color and they have even better colors... though I don't like having to keep up with the tops...

I really like papermate pens. They arent fine point but they dont smudge a lot. They are very smooth writing. I seem to write more neat when I use those pens. You can get them at walmart or target and they are cheap too.

I really like Pilot pens...they come in all kinds of colors and write very smooth. I like them for drawing and they don't smudge at all. Try going to http://www.dickblick.com/zz207/16b/

Papermate ballpoint black pens! Papermate makes the smoothest pens for their price range. And yeah, gel pens smear like mad, probably the least smeary type of pen you can get is ballpoint.
