Its a book I remember reading as a child - someone is trying to fire a cannon at a town, but a nice gorilla fills the cannon with sweets which then rain down on the town. Im just looking for the title of the book. Cheers!

Sounds like an Anthony Browne book to me...he has loads about gorillas. If it is a picture book...pretty certain the author/illustator will be him. No idea of the title. Look on Anthony Browne's website for further information.

Are you kidding? That just happened down the block and we all went scrambling. And they've already made a book out of it? I thought the local news would have it first.

I don't remember it, but it sounds like a great story. Check with your local children's librarian -- they are usually excellent at this sort of thing.
