They're entitled to their opinion. Whether I agree or disagree is a moot point - they aren't doing it on American soil.

I think it is an indication of the way SOME people in other countries feel about the US. And it is a feeling shared by more and more people in more and more countries all the time. It has to do with our arrogance and stupidity in the way we treat other countries and their people.

Maybe Bush can "ha ha" it off, with his little hyena laugh, like he does so much of what is now being said here, but I really think that ambitious politicians on both sides will pay attention. (Because, as always, getting elected or reelected is their top priority.)

If we could ever really do good in this world, as a country, I think that this perception would change, but I am becoming more and more cynical by the day about this EVER happening. Things are too complex in this country, and we've lost all concept of who is pulling the strings and why.

Obviously MONEY and the people who can donate it are the most important of all of the concerns of all politicians--be they Liberal or Conservative, because one cannot run a campaign without it. Serious strides toward campaign reform would have to be implemented to ever even begin to change this.

So...we will never get the leaders in this country that we NEED to change the feelings of other people in other countries. They will continue to burn our flag, and all we can do is to say, "Oh well, they have a right to their opinion." And, of course, that is true. To paraphrase our great "Decider" (note sarcasm...please), the flag is just a piece of material. What it represents is not, though, and we need to be taking these protests to heart.

Don't condemn these flag burners; try to find out WHY they feel this way! And then try to do something about it. I'm not sure what the answer is, but we really DO have to find a way to be a "kinder, gentler nation"--not just a bunch of campaign words meant to tug heartstrings!!

Thats a wonderful thing and if america would like to change this all we have to do is poll the crowd and ask why they hate america .
Just that simple . Ask and then work to correct the problems .
If its because we have troops going around killing columbians and brazilians who are growing coca and pot then stop .
you have got a supply and demand issue here and as long as millions of americans want drugs there will be people who grow and produce them . Its not 2,000,000 gang members who are involved in drugs its the 60 million americans who use weekly because they have a large amount of disposable income .
When I sold drugs it was to professional business people Who came into the strip clubs and originally just cocaine but then they wanted something to counteract the coke when the began purchasing half ounces each week to smooth the high out . So a little xanax or half a haldol some valium or a little weed . But most avoided the weed cause it stayed in your system to long others could smell it and drug testing would show that you where a drug user . You can explain away prescription drugs by saying you pulled a muscle and took one of your wifes pills . Not with pot . And cocaine leaves your system fast . SO if it where not for the white collar workers using drugs we would not be in the south american nations killing farmers and local people who's only job is protecting the crops .

Good for the flag business

You always see the News about poverty in South America. So how do starving people afford flags.

My guess is a "concerned" citizen must have bought them for the burning.

September 11 2001 comes to mind I remember seeing a News clip about a Chinese T-shirt company that was printing both pro America and Pro Bin Laden T-shirts. The Chinese businessman said "I don't care it's only business"

I wonder if a shop in China makes special flammable American flag for world distribution.

Go big Red Go

sure that's criminal. that's criminal to fly the Irish flag and many carry one on St. Paddy's day. The Italian flag fly with many on Columbus Day. (Ever note how a lot alike those 2 flags are? See decrease than) Why ought to the those of alternative decents no longer be able to celebrate say Cinco Di Mayo. What the real issue that comes up is there's a lot of resentment adverse to illegals in this united states and flying the Mexican Flag seems to many as an instance that there is not any real favor to develop into American. also, wearing a Mexican Flag at a "grant us citizenship" rally is basically unfavourable style, and worse, undesirable politics. yet, it is a rustic that enables loose expression. like the speech or hate the speech, we nevertheless ought to allow it. about 30 years in the past, a Nazi team had to march in Skokie unwell., a city that had many Jewish consentration camp survivors. As a Jew i idea it replaced right into a deplorable idea, yet I nevertheless idea they ought to have the right to march. (hey if a number of the marches were given hit by ability of falling rocks, dang, how unhappy). They ultimately were given the allow to march and they were afraid to do it. They were given an assembly allow for a park no longer in Skokie and about 15 Nazi's confirmed up. Doing the right issue were given the right outcome. It confirmed they were chickens. Now, returning for your problem in this question. if you're acquaintances with the man, you may attempt talking to them. If no longer, leave it on my own. you may fly an American Flag your self. which will be each of the fact you should make.

Clinton had a very positive effect on Latin America whereas Bush has quite the opposite. It's good to see people expressing their viewpoints.

I particularly like how they are complaining about "unfair immigration practices" while burning the American flag.

I regret that their perception of our country has fallen so far. I also regret their choice of protests as it makes them seem a little irrational (I refer here to the "Bush as Hitler" signs and effigies) but they have legitimate grievances and it is not up to me how they express them.

One can hardly blame them; Bush is a horrible person who is doing tremendous harm to the whole world.

No decent person can feel otherwise than to loathe him.
