If your boss made you so mad that you felt like just walking out knowing that you have a family and bills to pay and no other job to turn to?

Take a deep breath, think about what I'm risking by quitting, and reconsider. I get tempted too but who's going to pay the bills and feed the kids?

I would turn it into art therapy...
Start drawing cartoons of the boss getting run over by a steam roller or tied onto the railroad tracks.
Draw them in their underwear with black socks on.
Draw them getting violated by a giant Martian or something.
Make a picture of you stepping on the boss with gorgeous stiletto heels...
Make a few sketches...they don't have to be good, just as long as you know what's going on in them.
Make a few and get sillier as you go to the point where you begin giggling to yourself.

Makes me cheer up.

Hope things get better for you.
Good luck!

Stay there. But start looking for another job, when that is secure, (and you have your reference) tell your boss exactly where to go.

This has happened to me, I took a deep breath, & stepped back. Once I regained my cool I had words with her & we worked it out. I'm also in the process of re-thinking my life & where it's headed, after all we are in control of our own fate.

dude-man I'd keep walking I don't care who you are, you can always find a better job. Whoever says they cant find a job is either being too picky or isn't looking hard enough!

Unfortunately I would have to suck it up and continue working. However, I would begin a job search immediately so that I could leave ASAP.
