It all starts from kindergarden
too much load physically and mentally. its been proved by researchers.
In the high school stage, the children are brought up without knowing the moral values. No one to teach them neither teacher nor parents nor any other dignitary in the society.
The moment a student touches std. 9, stress for std.10 starts. need to score very high score.
First class had a meaning and value in the past. Now no. of students who get 90% + are much more in proportion.
Not neccessary to say, race to join engineering or medical or good degree courses is the main source of stress in secondary level.
In degree, trying to complete sandwich courses and the rat race for campus recruitment are also other sources of stress.
After studies, getting a job in an MNC or a software company (what ever be the graduation) and getting good salary of atleast 30,000 is another source of stress.
Then having the policy of not having loyalty to one employer, that is changing the job every 2 or 3 years is another source of stress.
like this the stresses continue....
But one thing, the youth of yester years also underwent stress as well, may be in different forms.

The word stress or stressed are the most grossly over used words in the English language. I don't believe that as many as 80 percent or more of the population even know what true stress is. People say they are stressed over some of the dumbest things; it is simply a new way of saying I don't enjoy dealing with something I don't like. It is a cop out a way of not dealing with everyday life. So I am stressing out over it. Now look at what you did you got me stressed out over this question. I say give it to me I need all the stress I can handle; It means I am living my life not sitting on the sidelines letting someone else do it for me. So live and enjoy your stress after all the other option would probably stress you or them even more.

The same source it has always been. Forming a strong identity without over inflating the ego. When the identity is strong, the youth can apply their skills without stress and solve problems. When the identity is weak and ego is too strong, the youth finds that they are isolated and make mistakes that prevent them from applying skills correctly. This leads to undue stress in all situations.

Exposure to Internet, Attraction towards Cinemas/TVs and mostly the age of youth make bend towards love and try to have a company of other gender both ways. Once a youth feels like expressing his / her ideas to others. Other than parents are being attracted for exprression of thoughts and spend time other ways like parents. These types of involvment other than studies put the youth under stress.

see.....basically there r many factors for stress:
1.Academics or co-cirricular activities-There is a pressure put on them to perform well....there r extremely high expectations.
2.Cut-throat competition-As the competition is high so r the expectations.Th repercussions just add to it.
3.Peer pressure-pressure is there from the peer group.if the group has something cool and u dont own it,then u r considered not a part of that group as u r uncool.
4.no time for family bonding-we hv working parents, who dont spend enough time with their children.
all this n more leads to emotional instability, anger, irritation n stress.hence they resort to unsafe outlets n practices such as gambling, drinkning n smoking.........

Over competitive environment creates a hectic situation.
We have lost our close relationship with mother nature
If we find time to listen to the sounds of nature and inner soul we'll be relieved of stress.

as a coach and parent, i think things have gotten
so competitive, the pressures to confirm and fit in and
succeed are enormous.
1. athletics-be successful
2. go to colloge-almost a necessity
3. be popular, thin, in shape
lets face it, the things that matter when you are a teenager,
just arent as important when you are a middle aged person.
but our schools and mentors are just as self serving, for
example coaches want their teams to win, win win, which
is fine, but have intramurals to make a better environ for everyboyd..
