If you have kids that can you are lucky. It is hard for family members longterm. In the long run majority elderly end up in a nursing home. Many don't have much choice unless you have alot of money to pay for in home nursing. Medicare don't pay for 24 hour nursing. The system is set up to pay for in house hospital then logtem in a nursing home.

why would someone else care for you? you have no family? if that's the case, you need to save the money for long term care then
