I thank people for giving me best answers and sometimes I want to further comment on a question. I have met a lot of nice people this way.

I once gave a thumbs down when I meant thumbs up. I sent an e-mail to appologize. The e-mails I receive either remind me that I am a jerk or request more detail in an answer I gave.

I've actually had a couple of people contact me for follow up on answers i have given... or to ask a question based on past answers i have given. Probably 6 or 8 times- I always answer back, it can be interesting

Yes. I usually send them emails because I want to comment their questions or answers and if I comment on here, is considered chatting.

1- to thank them for best answer [if they gave a funny response]
2- to email about a sensitive topic.. it's better to email instead of post
3- if i recognized a friend on here.. or mistaken one lol
4- to be polite and email back if they sent one to me

Yes, I emailed someone with a question about one of their answers (it was a recipe). We still email back and forth to exchange other recipes.

I did one time because I'd reached my limit on answers that day. I figured the person wanted an answer to their question, so I went with the e-mail route

Yes a couple of times....
A) If they were a friend on my 360 page OR
B) If they said something really out of line
Usually I don't for the most part...but in these cases I do.

Yes I have. I have sent someone who has answered one of my questions who had either asked for more info or they seemed knowledgeable enough that I asked them for more insight.
