I'm taking a college class on Shakespeare right now, and the two other responders are both correct. Shakespeare wrote his own.

Many place you look will say that Shakespeare wrote it himself before death...but I believe it is Francis Bacon who actually wrote it.

I would guess that he wrote his own before he died. He did. I checked for you. It's a trick question, but they have to try harder to trick me!
