i repartioned the drives and completely formatted it clean using system restore to clean it all up because the drive was getting full and too many startup items tht were missing the uninstall and cant be erased from the registry ,and now the video card can no longer detect drivers for lcd wide-screen monitors. (IT thinks im using a CRT.) but im not.

You need to install the latest drivers for your video card and your monitor. Go to the product web sites and you should be able to download these.

Have you reinstalled the video drivers for the computer?
If not it will not have those widescreen resolutions available to you.
