I say if you are really contemplating a purchase like that, you are more likely going to buy it anyways. So the best thing to do is search for a deal. On sites like ebay will be your first stop, but make sure you know your size with that brand before you make an online purchase. Make sure it is authentic too. If you know your brands well enough you will know if it is or not. It is not hard to spot fakes if you know what you are buying. I have bought a Prada shirt for 20 dollars on eBay in season that is normally 125 dollars.
But back to your questions.
Fad? = short lived
Worth? = no
Regular?= Yes
I know for a female it is hard to find jeans that fit.
BTW... The skinny pants are at the Gap for about 50 dollars, that might be more up your alley.

If you have a limited budget spendinng $200 on a pair of jeans is sort of iffy. I would say it would depend on how many pair of jeans you have and are you going to wear the jeans alot.
You say you like your regular jeans, then why ask the question, you have answered the question yourself.
If you are a person who can afford it and likes to have the latest and "greatest" of jeans, spending $200 is no longer a crazy amount of money, I've certainly spent more on some jeans lately. But, I can afford it, and it doesn't mean I have to give up a meal, and I do have a problem with following fads, but don't go by me. I just wear jeans for all occassions, mostly and don't need to buy other clothing for work.
Sometimes it's just nice to splurge, jeans are no longer just for working in the garden, they can be a fashion statement.
Are the jeans worth the money, well, I guess I feel so as I think that the more expensive jeans fit better, but that's just me.

I'd spend 200 dollars on jeans that are a classic cut, like straight leg jeans ( not mom jeans or ones that joke your ankles). Skinny jeans are cute, they'll probably last another season or two, but no more. Wide leg jeans are coming back, especially for fall. Get a few skinny jeans that are max $50 and use the rest for a really hot bag. ALSO!!! make sure you buy quality. Quantity is nice, but wont last, so you wind up spending more money in the long run. Don't let anyone tell you different, trust me. I have very expensive classic clothes, that have lasted through out the years.

You don't have to spend $200 on jeans, but don't worry, denim will never go out of style (at least until we all start wearing future space pants).
If you're looking for designer jeans, low end brands are Lucky (usually around $100). If you are fiending to spend that $200, look into Sevens, True Religions, and Rock & Republics.
Being a jean whore myself, let me go against all these naysayers and say that the difference between $200 designer jeans and $40 Gap jeans really is significant. If you want nice things and you can afford it, then do it!

Jeans - any kind of jeans - are always in style. Sometimes that go from wide leg to skinny as a new fashion trend because they want people to go out and buy some new. You seem to be falling into that category. Don't let that influence you into spending $200.00. That's a lot of "moolah" to throw away on a trend. So, if your old ones are broken in and comfy stick with them because they're the real you.

since you have a limited budget. i would not spend $200 on a pair of jeans wouldn't care if they are in style or what. that $200 could go to other much needed stuff or you a few pair of regular jeans and you still would have extra money left. there is no need to dress just to be in style dress in what you like and what you are comfortable in. with being on a limited budget you need be spending your money on your neccesities like food bills and so on

Please do not spend 200 on skinny jeans. Fad's come and go so who knows how long that's gonna last. If you want to spend 200 on jeans, get a classic piece that will never go out of style.

Well if you have the money and love the style spend it. But, like you said you don't have the money. My advice would be if you really like the style buy a less expensive brand of skinny jeans. Fahion can be unpredictable so its hard to say if the style will be in for a long time. I hope I helped!

uh your contradicting yourself when you say you have a limited budget and are thinking about buying 200 jeans. my advice, im on a limted budget too, is instead of buying 3 expsinves shirts or jeans, i go to wal-mart and can get 30 times the amount of clothes for that money, be smart with your money, thats money that doesnt have to be spent, money that can go to more important things, bills, gas,
its def not worth it, and dont give in to fads.
ever.
because you end up wasting all of your money on things you wont use after the fad is over. jeans $200, wasting money on jeans because of a fad,$i dont suggest it
