It would be nice to gain points for getting a thumbs up but losing points for a thumbs down seems unfair because some people just give you a thumbs down because they want their answer to win.

I think when you get thumbs up and your answer is chosen best answer then you get those extra points...unless you get thumbs up on your question then you imediately get 1 point, I think
