Depends what you like. If you're into reality shows and endless programmes of "D" celebrities dancing, cooking, skating etc. fine. The only programe I actually sit down and watch is "Dragon's Den". Apart from that I might record the odd film - but I don't watch anything else. At my age life's too short! By the way - yes a lot of it is crap!

You ought to see the standard of t.v. in other countries before you run down brit t.v. O.k there is a lot of crap on but also top class stuff also. How for example would you like to watch t.v .with 10 min-net commercials every half hour, or t.v with only one channel, the s#it list is endless for such worldwide tv. standards.

I'm in Canada, and anything from the UK is usually refreshing since we're constantly bombarded with mindless sh*te from the States. The UK shows seem to be better written overall, and it's nice to see "real" people for a change. Of course, we're probably only getting the best of the best....

i used to think so, but then i have been to countries where ALL channels have more adverts than shows.

try greek tv, you get 10 minutes of programme then 15 minutes of ads.
And the programmes are funny for all the wrong reasons.

yes. i agree. weeks back there was this article in a newspaper about parents who'd rather watch tv than talk and play with their kids. my parents were too busy watching every shite tv programme and telly soap to chat with me about it.
