Try to incorporate whatever brought your particular group of players together.

We have a coed indoor soccer team that we named Leftover FC, because most of our players didn't know each other, and one girl just kind of assembled the high school soccer leftovers that she knew of who hadn't left the area for college.

Movie references also work well. For example: La Tigre (One of Zoolander's looks) is a team name I've been waiting for a chance to use. Team Ramrod would be funny. I've always wanted to see a team called "The Rudys".

And then there's referencing actual stuff from softball, maybe Warning Track Power, which you could shorten to WTP for tshirts. The Hit(Wo)Men would be funny. Be creative, and if it can reference something the team has in common, or likes, then so much the better.
