If he was really a journalist, he would understand that there's no such thing as full objectivity. The first lesson you learn is that there is "spin" in ALL news, simply because it's filtered through you.

I asked this question a while back and got some nasty answers. The thing is, his politics irritate the heck out of me, but I would not be bothered by him as a person so much if he just admitted that his show was blatantly conservative Republican. Instead he tries to pass it off as objective fact and way too many people believe it. He's being irresponsible with his position in the public eye.

Because it is his show and he can pretty much advertise it anyway he wants. Anderson Cooper has AC 360. I guess this implies he views all sides of an issue without bias. Does he really do that? I don't think so. So basically a person can advertise themselves or their shows any way they want. Find something important to care about.

You are correct in your observation and conclusion. Anyone who watches Bill O'Reilly figures out pretty quickly that he definitely has his own spin on things. The fact that he can say "no spin zone" with a straight face makes me wonder about his moral character.

O'Reilly can advertise his show as the " no spin zone " because it is aired on Fox News, which advertises itself as " fair and balanced. " Only the Rush Limbaugh " bobbleheads" take either discription as truth.

Bill O'Reilly believes that anything that comes out of his mouth is the truth and can be backed by fact not conjecture...unfortunatly there are Americans who also believe this...one day maybe they will learn to think for themselves and not follow people who claim to know everything....conservative or liberal.
