tears are created by your tear ducts. just simply pull down on your bottom eye lid and you can see towards your nose side of your eye that there are little holes right there. those generate the tears when you cry/get hit in the nose haa. your eye fills up and eventually begins to tear. thats what causes tears, the direction is not affected by your eyeballs
