I'm a 13 year old girl who loves to dance, sing, and yell. This means that the perfect sport for me would definately be cheerleading. However, I have some difficulties. The last time I took gymnastics, I was 4. Because of this, I have absolutely no idea how to do a cartwheel. I can tumble, jump, and everything else, but I lack in some gymnastic skills. Is it worth it to go through the trouble this summer to learn some stunts? My mom says that she knows a professional cheerleader, and has offered to have her help me learn. Also, I would like to know if cheerleading is a fun sport for those of you who take part in it.

Yes, go ahead and take those lessons. They will help you out. What you learn will help you know that much more when you tryout and make the team. And yes cheerleading is a fun sport. I love every part of cheerleading from the stunting to the tumbling to the yelling and being part of a team. Hope you have as much fun!

I starting cheerleading when ! was 12, then did 4 years of varsity in high school, so it's definetly not too late, I would meet with the professional to learn everything first though. I think it's a fun sport and you should go for it, cartwheels are easy enough to learn as long as you practice!

To substitute right into a good cheerleader that's significant to construct up muscle. enormously on your legs, and your middle area. this might make any leaping, stunting, and tumbling you will possibly be able to initiate ordinary, and extra effective. Flexibility is purely as significant. Do straddle stretches to initiate with and artwork your way up with extra complicated ones. be sure you be tight in motions, loud in cheers, and use expression in dances!
