Okay. This may freak some people out. But I see so many people with 'neatly' waxed underarms like ALL the time. & you don't see even a single hair. Now is it just me or is there a trick to get it done right. Also how long does it take for your hair to grow back? & what do you use to keep it neat & clean?

Not a freaky thing at all - most of us women do it!
The trick to waxing ANY part of your body is to apply the warm (not hot!) wax IN the direction of the hair growth, and then rip off the wax in the OPPOSITE direction of the hair growth.
Obviously, you need to examine your underarms to see exactly how your hair grows; for most people it's in TWO directions... however, for the small number of us, it can grow in up to several directions. Me myself? FOUR different directions, hunny! (It's an effort!)
The second consideration is the type of wax you are actually going to use. Is it strip (on plastic strips)? Or is it just the wax itself you're going to pull off. If you're going to use a fabric, what kind of fabric is it?
My waxing lady is an absolute wonder... she actually uses the sugaring method, then applies fabric that's the SAME as what umbrellas are made of (!), and I'm ALWAYS left with perfectly waxed & smooth underarms! I have very coarse, dark hair (& lots of it!), my hair seems to be less coarse & dense using this method, and I've never had anyone else do them better.
In my experience, the next best method is using yellow wax with muslin strips.
Another point: underarms are difficult to wax on your own... get a friend to help you.
Lastly, your question about how long it takes hair to grow back? I've often read people say 3 - 4 weeks, but honestly, I think it really depends on your hair growth (determined by your hormones!). I guess I've got slightly more than average testosterone running through my body, because my hair grows back, even after waxing, in about 2 weeks or less.

In order to get it waxed right, you have to go to the trouble of letting it grow out. That's the reason i've never done it. I don't think I could handle not doing anything with it for like 2 weeks!
But the longer the hair is, the better of a job the waxing does.
I also think trying Neet or Nair would work good too if you don't want to go through the pain of waxing.

Go to a salon and let a professional do it for you. It's around 20-30 dollars but well worth it! It takes the hair about 4 to 5 days to grow back which is awesome compared to shaving everyday! :)

I’m not sure how can you tell whether it’s been waxed or just shaved (I would not try to look that close at someone’s armpits) but if you want to get it waxed don’t try it yourself- it can get extremely painful. Either get it done at a salon, get Veet or Nair or have it removed with laser.
