Without the underlying emotions, it just wouldn't feel as exciting...

I think kissing is an important step in a relationship. I never kiss on the first date or try to kiss her. I think that waiting makes that first kiss that much more important. When it does happen, it is emotional for me. No matter what, if I really like a girl, the first kiss blows me away, and i get all shy like a silly little kid. It's the fact that she allowed me to kiss her, that she feels some trust for me, that makes me appreciate it so much.
Then, there's the kiss between people who have been kissing for a while. When I kiss a long term partner, it may be to convey a message. I may want to comfort her, arouse her, tell her I love her, tell her what's to come, say I forgive her, so many things.
So, for me, kissing is a big deal. It is one of my favorite parts of sex and everyday interaction.

Sometimes for fun or a game. But when it's with someone I'm seeing it's definitely emotional. It expresses what you feel for each other at that moment. And just that moment. Nothing else. So so wonderful. I love kissing.

For me, it's an act of affection. I feel sorry for the kids in the adolescent section who worry about technique, like it's an athletic competition with points for style.
