Is there a train that runs from Munich airport to downtown Munich (probably Hauptbanhof)?

If so, what is the cost? Where do you catch it? How long does it take? Any info appreciated.

Yes, the "S-Bahn" train station is in the airport's Central Area ("Zentralbereich"). It takes 41–45 minutes to the Hauptbahnhof (depending which line you take) and a one-way ticket costs €8.80.

Yep it does run to Haptbahnhof...Costs about 12 bucks and takes about 45 minutes....not a very scenic ride but may be better than a cab which will cost about $38.00 plus tip.....or you can rent a car at the airport too...but if your tired from your trip just take a cab or S-bahn, it takesa while to get used to their driving rules and rush hour is a mess there too...

Schnellbahn train lines S1 from the east and S8 from the west part of the city. However, from the Hauptbahnhof (Main railway station), the journey takes 40-45 minutes.

As there may be changes at short notice, please pay attention to announcements and information boards at the stations. Or check with the railway's telephone Travel Service at 01805/996633 (0.14 EUR/min.).

Yes there is and you catch it right at the airport.

I don't remember the cost but it wasn't that much or else I would.
