He received a Lifetime achievement award a few years ago.

Leonardo Di Caprio is definitely a good actor. Forget the image of that kid you saw in Titanic or in The Beach and look at how awesome he is in Catch me If you Can or Aviator or more recently in Blood Diamond or The Departed. Scorcese and Speilberg trust him, and this is enough for me.
However, I will wait a little before giving him a lifetime achievement award. He is not a legend yet.

he still has some time for the lifetime achievement..
what he REALLY needs is a frikkin Oscar.. yeh he sucked at some movies but many movies were GREAT... hey if it wasnt for him, Titanic would not have been that successful.. most females watched it like 20 times each just because of him...
i never understood why he never got an oscar.. somethings wrong there...

No, I feel that he is too young. Who knows what will happen in hte future. Just because his career is great now and he makes all these great films does not mean that he will continue to.

He was good in What's Eating Gilbert Grape because he played himself...a retarded kid.
And he died in Titanic so that was a plus. Only they should've killed him off much earlier.
