Or is Global Warming something that is affecting all aspects of life and needs to be discussed and addressed instead of being used for votes.

Hey, good to see you back.
You are ready know my opinion about global warming so I will not go into it here.
However, I don't think Sports Illustrated is the proper forum to cover the issue. Sports Illustrated should be concentrating its efforts on stories about Spring Training and March Madness, and leave global warming to the science journals and news magazines.
The topic of global warming has nothing to do with sports, unless the article is about how global warming will damage the best ski resorts or how it could possibly hurt the Winter Olympics in the future. However maybe they should not cover it even than, since according to Bryant Gumbel, Skiing and all of the other Winter Olympic events are not sports because there are not enough black athletes participating in them.

My Shape Magazine for March was also all about Global Warming.
(Oh and everyone go out and buy the Dixie Chicks, because they support this NON-issue.) - Just in case the morons don't get it - this is sarcasm, because it was a part of an article in my shape magazine.
Don't you people who think it's a real problem get it? It's not!!!! It's natural. And it is not getting worse because of man and no really bad disasters are going to happen because of the average Global Temperature is supposedly increasing. Oh and the scientists can't even get a handle on whether that is really true or not.
Oh and guess what? An expedition to the North Pole was called off to check on this Global Warming issue, because it was too cold and a couple of the people got frost bite.
So stop shoving this NON-issue down our throats.
And do the right things to help protect our environment, because it's the right thing to do and not because you are afraid of dying do to Global Warming.

Since when is global warming only going to affect liberals?
Hell Bush says global warming is happening. I just saw an interview with Bush's energy secretary and he says global warming is happening.
Sports Illustrated liberal propoganda. HAHAHAHA
You people would be seriously funny, but it's almost like laughing at someone with a birth defect.

Whether you think that global warming is natural or due to human activity, it is a real issue that should be discussed. I haven't read the SI article, but I can imagine that many outdoor sports may be affected.
Calling a political inclination as a "hate" group is counterproductive to intellegent discussion of issues.

It's amazing to me how many people consider the issue of global warming to be solely and exclusively a political issue, and assume that anyone who is talking about it must have a political agenda.
Isn't it possible -- even remotely possible -- that a magazine which focuses on outdoor sports might want to take about possible effects on the environment for non-political reasons?
