I've put 2 camshaft and crankshaft sensors on it and they are gone again?Within 2 years! This is getting expensive at $800 a pop. mechanic at chrystler dealer cant figure it out.

$800!! WOW you're getting ripped! Did they give you a tub of vaseline with it?

Crank sensor, about $100, cam sensor, about $60 (3.5 liter) or $40 (3.3 liter) so that means about $640 for labor to replace 2 sensors?!

VERY unlikely that they've gone out at the same time. There's probably only 1 sensor that has gone bad, sounds like you have a poorly trained tech at the Chrysler dealer you took it to. Find another local dealer, or a good independent shop for a second opinion. At the very least, you'll save a bundle on what this dealer is raking you for if it really does need both replaced (I seriously doubt it).

BTW, no good reason they should go bad at just 2 years old unless you put like 100k miles on it in those 2 years.

I had mine replaced and it didn't cost anything near that. I have a mechanic in the family though so it was just the price of parts. Which was around $80.00.

you are getting ripped if it costing $800.00. the dealer can not figure it out i bet at that kind of charge. i have a repair shop i want in some of that action
