I'm in college and work in a clothing store to help out with tuition and what not. A man brought an envelope up to the counter with a folded piece of paper in it that he had his doctor write boy or girl on it. He handed me that and two outfits (One pink, one blue) and a gift bag with tissue paper. He told me to open the envelope and pick the right outfit and put it in the gift bag with tissue paper while he looked away and to put the other outfit where he couldn't see it. Neither he nor his wife knew, and he was taking her out to dinner that night and they were going to open the present and find out together. I thought it was such a cute idea!
Congrats!!!

OH I agree with Becca! That's so adorable and you'd still get to find out together!
If that's not gonna happen, does he work/park some place where you can leave one of these other nice ideas in his car for him?? I like the idea of a bib or booties hanging from the rear-view mirror and he sees it when he gets into the car to come home to you.

Do you have a room for the baby already? You could fill the room with either blue or pink balloons and it's a girl or it's a boy balloons. You could buy either pink or blue booties, or blankets, onsies and have them all our for him when he gets home from work! Congrats, it will turn out great no matter what you do!

It would be cute (if you could wait long enough) to make a cake while he is at work and put either pink or blue icing on it or just write its a boy or girl on it and when he gets home show him.

Buy some pink/blue ribbons, and some pink/blue candles, and dresses your dinner table with them, with a small teddybear in the middle, with a pink ribbon around the head if it is a girl, or a blue ribbon around the neck if it is a boy. Good luck and many blessings.

Go out and buy a really fancy rattle and attach a blue or pink ribbon to it. Or you could do a sexy thing, go out and buy a really sexy pair of underwear in the color of what your baby is going to be, and do a strip tease for him, so that way it's a surprise for him and maybe some fun for you. :)

give him a little pair of pink or blue booties to hang from his rear-view mirror :)
or a pink or a blue bib that says, "I Love Daddy"
the color will tell everything! :)
