Ah - everyone remembers the 9 goals Liverpool scored. But being a Palace fan I cannot forget that Geoff Thomas missed a penalty at the Kop end to heap shame upon misery.
One thing not mentioned thus far, is that the 8 different scorers for Liverpool that night set a record for a single "top flight" football match. I think the record still stands

Palace got their revenge in the FA cup semi finals that year buy beating Liverpool 4-3 after extra time !! i nearly got sick !
