i said it once ill say it again OIL! OIL! OIL!

Because Saddam, shortly before the invasion, started trading oil in Euros instead of dollars, with the Euros value increasing over the dollar it was a sound economic move for Iraq. The problem for the U.S. is once Iraq switched standards, other oil producing countries would follow suit, ruining the dollars hold on oil trade, leading to the collapse of the Federal Reserve. So Bush did what he and many others in America felt they had to do, invade Iraq, topple Saddam, take control of the oil fields changing the standard back to the dollar, and all the while making an example out of what happens to countries that want to trade in Euro instead of dollars.
Everybody now knows that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, something that the Bush administration knew all along, so why if not for other reasons did the invasion have to take place? Does America really care so much about foreign countries and their dictators? A little bit of research will disprove that theory. Saudi Arabia has a good relationship with America, they have American bases in their country, good relationships with America's leaders and not planning any switch of their standards. Iran is currently planning on changing their standard to the Euro as well, and wouldn't you know, Bush wants to go to war with them too.

Because the House of Saud is friends with the Bush's, and are somewhat agreeable to negotiate with. The Iraqi's are not, so George set out for a regime change in Iraq.

Because the Bush family and the USA govt. has close ties, linked to oil, with Saudi Arabia - including members of the Bin Laden family. Additionally, Bush was looking for any excuse to invade Iraq and depose Sadam and so chose to invent the non-existent threat of weapons of mass destruction and to spuriously link Iraq with Al Quaida. It is only since the USA and its coalition members illegally invaded Iraq that Al Quaida have actually become active there.

We did not enter Iraq because of 9/11 and regardless of how many times you ill-informed people repeat that untruth, it does not change the FACTS.
Why do you folks believe that constant repitition of the same lie makes it true?
Bush is quoted on DOZENS of occassions saying 'IRAQ WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THE 9/11 ATTACK'

It depends who you ask and which "reason" you want, his 2002 reason, 2003 reason, 2004 reason, 2005 reason, 2006 reason or Today's "reason".

Something about Iraq clearly had WMD's, except they didn't, but they didn't properly declare how they got rid of them, except nobody ever read the report they provided, but no, wait it was that we REALLY cared about the Iraqi's and wanted to help them except most of them are not better off, oh but wait it was that we wanted to overthrow Sadaam Hussain except that we put him there in the first place, and now he is Dead and Gone except now we have to "finish the job" except nobody ever told us what that means.

If that's a confusing "answer", you're not alone......

It really is two different issues. One has nothing to do with the other. It is just the timing of the events that makes it seem so.
