every time you think your going to say it stop your self and use a substitute word like instead of hell use heck.....and instead of the F word use freakin and instead of the S word use crap and instead of the B word use witch or something even equally demeaning lol i have a habit of using foul language and it usually comes out more when i hang around people who use it so try to keep your association with people who use foul language to a minimum and if they are your friends or family that use it alot try to tell them that you don't like that sort of language and ask them can they hold off using it when they are around you and if they cant or don't want to than like i said hang with them to a minimum and work on your vocabulary so you don't have to use those words.

So did I, for a long time, and I'm as old as dirt. It was a habit, and I think I liked to shock people, or make myself look confident and tough. Then, I heard other women swear, and it sounded so cheap and coarse. I thought to myself, "I don't want people to think that's how I am," because I'm not. I realized that a filthy mouth just lowers you, you don't look cool at all. I just really concentrated on not swearing and was able to break the habit. That doesn't mean that occasionally I don't swear to myself. Sometimes you just have to let one fly.

Talking foul is just a bad habit. You can stop if you want to. Try the dollar in the jar idea. Every time you catch yourself talking foul put a buck in the jar out of your pocket money. You'll get tired of not having any pocket money and will break your self of cursing.

check your surroundings. The only time in my life I had a swearing problem was when I was on the college softball team and I was around people who swore all the time. Maybe it's the people you're around, or the choices of tv or movies you watch. It's totally common to begin to talk like what you're exposed to all the time. It's the same concept as how we pick up slang.

Its called self control. Try to get some and if you the words just spew while your speaking, take a second and think about what you want to say before you say it.

Use some mouth wash. Or maybe wash your mouth here and there with some water and vinegar.
