Go to your or her family names and look back several generations. Maybe a favorite grandmother has a surname that can be used as a first name (i.e., Taylor, Bailey, Morgan). It will be special to your friend's baby even if not totally unique, and may help to bring generations together. Be sure to write down a brief bio of the person so the baby grows up knowing something about the individual for whom he was named.

I have an unusual name so i wanted to make sure that my son Ryan had a name that was not too unusual or too popular. But when I named my son the name became popular again.

I had this problem with my last son...I just couldn't think of a name that was unique.. It took me until I was 8 months pregnant, until I came up with it.. But I had to be careful about his middle name too, cos I didn't want it to rhyme or sound stupid..
Kynon Zander is his name we call him Ky for short, my other son's name is Jayden Reece... The name Jaxson is nice for a boy too..

Our daughter has my initials and if we have a boy this time we would like for him to have my husbands initials and its been hard trying to find an M name we like but we have found Mason, we like that and its not common around here.
