A baked potato in 7 minutes while in comparison with a million hour interior the oven. An ear of corn (on the cob) in 3 minutes while in comparison with 15-20 minutes boiling on the range. Fudge in 40 5 seconds. The microwave is sturdy for some issues yet you won't have the capacity to boil an egg in it and that i nonetheless like my steaks grilled.

LOL! I remember putting leftover mac and cheese (we made it back then) in a pot with a little milk and butter to heat it up and everyone running for the hills. I asked the same thing the last time my power went out for awhile. I hate to run it on the generator since it uses so much juice. We used to wonder if microwaves would be the demise of all of mankind, thinking we were getting poisoned somehow but I guess not.

I so agree. I remember reheating things on the stovetop when I didn't have a microwave, and it was a major, serious, pain.

Well back in the day when I was to poor to afford a micro... I just would heat it up on the stove. And I guess I would starve until it was warm enough to scarf down.

Burn it... lol
Actually, I don't know. I'm too young to remember time before microwaves.
(While we're at it, how did people ever manage without cell phones?!?)

We either used the stove top or oven. That's why leftovers were never very popular!
