Well, the doctors say 6 weeks minimum. But I have known people who have shortened that up a bit. I think it will be up to your wife at first, since she is the one who had the baby. Just so she knows it will hurt and be a little sore the first time. Yes, I have been in this situation but I had a c-section and we just waited until all the post baby junk was done coming out of my body, then we went for it! It's mainly up to you guys and to make sure you are safe, unless you want another baby..

I have had 2 kids and the waiting time should be per my doctor is 6 weeks , her body needs time to heal .. having a baby is alot of stress on her body .. it might not seem like it but there is alot of stress.. plus you do not want to have another child right away , this is a very good time to get her pregnant .. let he heal ..

generally you have to wait 4-6 weeks. My husband and I waited till I was 4 weeks, but I had a C-Section, so there weren't any stitches or pain in the girly area.

6 weeks or until the bleeding stops. Doctors suggest six weeks so it can heal. For a while it will feel open and loose.
