Those in Congress who now oppose the war should simply confess that while most of the earlier reasons to remove Saddam remain valid, the largely unforeseen costs of stabilizing Iraq in their view have proved too high, and now outweigh the dangers of leaving.

No, but it was a good way to stir America's christian conservative population into a frenzy and make them think it's ok to invade other countries because of their religious majority.

It's called a global war on terror. Terrorism is more than Al Queda. There are several groups that are inherently anti American, and Saddam supported them all.
