Teachers have objectives based on the curriculum in their state. These objectives are chosen based on what will be on the end of course tests. So, if algebra is going to be on the test, then the teacher will teach algebra.

The state dictates the curriculum. It is up to the teacher to take that curriculum and challenge the student to think creatively as well as accurately in becoming problem solvers. The problem that bogs teachers down is the standardized testing... where only one answer can be right. All good teachers know that many problems can indeed have more than one solution. This is what a teacher does... encourage that child to look for all solutions, not just the easiest one.

To show the right & bright path for the students
To make a student to think that it's easy to survive in this realistic world.

the objective of teaching is to bring out the hidden capabilities of achild thats how we get expert people in different fields in the end

Contrary to popular belief, its not child rearing. The desired end result of teaching is for the pupil to learn what the teacher knows thus passing on their knowledge to the next generation.
