I've seen a few questions asking about people being upset about Haliburton's move to Dubai. I don't understand why this upsets people. Why would you be okay with Frampton up until now, but be upset about where they locate their headquarters? Haliburton has been a "big evil" corporation for decades, and has profited off of war and the suffering of others for just as long. Who cares where they do business from--they're equally as evil here in the U.S. as they will be in Dubai. Theoretically, I suppose, it might mean less taxes paid to the U.S. government, but I doubt it's very much less, as they will continue to do business here, and I'm sure they get out of most of the taxes they're supposed to pay anyway. And, again, pay or not paying taxes shouldn't alter your fundamental opinion of their business purpose and practices. So, tell me, why are some of you suddenly upset now?

Likely they made a favorable business decision in relocating the corporate office, a main reason might be to focus less on the mature oil fields of Northern America to concentrate more on the younger energy business of the middle east and Africa.
