Hopefully it'll bring more public exposure to the league which is always a good thing.

He's only actually getting paid $27.5 million, he can earn up to $50 million total with incentives and the rest of the money is coming from endorsements and image rights.

To the person who said "100 mil could be much better spent elsewhere", MLS is paying him only about $6 mil a year. He has the chance to make the rest back from his image rights which he himself owns now.

As everything else in his life, this was a move orchestrated by his wife. I dont DB would make that move for himself on any day. I live in the US and i could safely say that US soccer sucks.

We are going to get used to seeing them more on the catwalk than the dugout and preety soon he will be just another hollywood celebutant.

Good move for everybody---I'm sure he and his wife will be very happy in Beverly Hills, America will be curious enough to start watching MLS, and it may even encourage some other talented European players to play over here too. Besides, it really wasn't going anywhere with him at Real Madrid.

a lot of people are going on about the money. things are different in the states if becks does not produce the goods they will just sack him and not pay off contract. also he must be in it for the cash cos anyone who had any love for the game would want to finish his career in his homeland, look at laarson there is a man with honour.

he,s not worth why the hell ppl rave over him i do not no he was reasonable with man u crap with england although he scored a few important goals but if he was that good we would have one the world cup and crap with real madrid and he will be a a disappointment in the states
