I'm taking my son to Disney World this summer and we also want to visit the Universal Studios Park. Can anyone recommend decent hotels with daily commuter shuttles to either park? Something in the $100-$150 per night range would be ideal. Thanks

I recommend the Lake Suites

These great family suite style resorts all come with a complete kitchen. I knew they offered shuttle service to the Disney parks, but I called to double check on the others. The receptionist said they offer complimentary shuttle service to Disney, Universal, and Sea World and all shuttles leave every 30 minutes.
This hotel is also very affordable starting at about $69 a night for a family of 4!

Actually the low priced Disney hotels with free shuttles to and from all the Disney parks are only like 99 a night and they are GREAT!!! Look on Disney's website. They may even have a shuttle to Universal, but I can't remember.

DIsney Wide World of Sports, or Music, or Film are totally affordable and on Site...YOu might have to take a cab or rent a car to get to Universal though.

None of the Disney-owned resorts offer transportation to Universal, but, as previously mentioned, most of the area hotels do offer transportation to all of the area theme parks. Most don't charge extra, but they can be difficult to use at times (limited runs, etc.).

If you feel comfortable, rent a car -- but, going that route means you have to pay to park at the theme parks (almost $9.00 per day, I think), which can really add up.
