lost cell phone in store they said they found it ,but later lost it who's responsible for the loss?

My personal opinion would be that it's the store. sure you lost it to begin with, but they found it & lost it while they were holding it for you.

As far as warranty or store policies for a replacement phone may go, I'm not sure who would be responsible. After all, if you didn't lose it in the first place the people at the store would not have lost it.

At first, I would say that you are because you lost it in the first place, but the store should be responsable for it because the store is responsable for anything they get in the store. And besides, they DO know they found your phone.

To all the folks who say it's the store's fault, yes, they were holding it for her, but the function of the store itself is not to be a lost and found. It's a store.

Also, I forgot, if anyone loses their cell phone, they need to contact their cellular carrier right away and have the information on their SIM card altered so that no one can abuse the phone if they find it.
