I love this show and used to watch it before when I was a child .
The first Doctor who I remember was Tom Baker (curly dark hair and very long scarf).
My favorite baddies were the darleks and I also the loved the Drs robot dog K9
I still watch it now when it comes on . Love David Tennant as I think he's a good actor

For the first time in goodness knows how long we have a family programme to watch! My husband, our children, me and my best friend sit down all together and watch it religiously each Saturday when its on. Its great to see a show that we remember being revived and bought up to date with great stories, fantastic effects and brilliant acting. As a child i used to hide behind teh sofa and behind cushions and now my daughter des this too but it is such addictive viewing. I love the emotion of it and cried buckets at the end of the last series but this was counterbalanced with other great emotions, pride, humour, fear, adrenaline. Superb stuff. Long may it continue.

It is fantastic, isn't it! I was a big fan of the original (Tom Baker era) and was sure that Russell Davies was going to mess it up big style (like Lucas did with Star Wars ep1), even though I knew he was a great writer. I was so relieved when it turned out to be brilliant! The Dalek episode is still one of the best bits of telly I've ever watched. Taking Billie away from us was just cruel, though. p.s. lovely as D Tennant is, when he leaves, the BBC absolutely HAS to pick Stephen Fry as successor. Or Richard E Grant. Or Paul McCartney!

Love it! As much as I like David Tennant, I think Chris Eccleston captured the spirit of the Doctor a lot better. DT just doesn't have that gravitas when he needs it.
