They didn't remove it. They put it on the edge of the coins. Oh, yeah what a catastrophe and some coins didn't had a "In God we trust" but that was a mistake. There is no plan to take out in God we trust off our coins. They've been there since 1953 and I think they're going to be in there for many more years.

they don't want to remove the PHRASE.
"In God We Trust"
is the motto that gives the declaration of independence and the constitution its "power". there is nothing else to back up the legitimacy of those documents.

It didn't. It was a mistake that has been corrected. Most of the mistakes have been melted back down and re-stamped. This only affected the George Washington dollar.

your government should have removed it because of separation of church and the state, it is offensive to the majority of people to have it on the money, probably offensive to god, too.
