Well I would wait until I'm sure that it's really going to mean something to both of you and he is just not looking for a one night stand.

There is no set timeline for intimacy in a relationship. It's all based on a few common factors:

Physical Attraction
Comfort/trust with the person
Chemistry

and so on....

What may be fast for one person may be just right for someone else.

You also have to take into account your intentions for the relationship. Do you want it to be a long term relationship or a just a fleeting intimate relationship? Once you determine where you want the relationship to go you can see how comfortable you are with letting things happen as they happen.

If you're not comfortable or feel you're not ready to start moving past kissing that is your feeling & you should not allow anyone to persuade you to move past your comfort zones.

Bottom line... Only you can decide when it is right to move to the next level.

Good luck!

Intimacy and physical intimacy are two totally different things. You can have physical intimacy without true intimacy---but you shouldn't. It's very important to establish a true intimate relationship prior to physical intimacy. In other words you should know this person well...and trust this person well. The time line would vary, I would think, depending on how much time you spent together. I dated my husband for 2 months casually. After 2 months, feelings started growing. Don't get me wrong, physical attraction was always there, but after 2 months, we WANTED to know each other better. We spent another 4 months establishing true intimacy----meeting each other's friends and families, learning about each other's goals and dreams, talking a LOT. For us, it took 6 months to establish enough "intimacy" to move on to "physical intimacy". It's been wonderful ever since!

a kiss on the first date is nice I try and wait 3 months before sleeping with someone I just start to date but if there is a real connection it will happen sooner.

A romantic kiss, the second date. If the chemistry is there, intimacy will happen, just don't rush into it. It can be fun leaving a little bit to the imagination.

I think it depends on how you feel with your girlfriend. Some girlfriends I've gotten intimate by the 3rd date. My current girlfriend, we didn't kiss until the 5th date, and man was it good!

Define intimacy... I mean, a kiss is nothing.

Last serious relationship I had, we waited 3 weeks before getting it on...

Depends on age/maturity/opportunity/feelings. If you're asking it sounds like you ought to wait for a while.

kissing I don't see harm,
If its mauling slobbery kisses, waite till your in privacy.
But sex and THAT kinda intamacy isn't for me or anyone else on yahoo to decide. That is for YOUR HEART to decide.

If you are ready then don't waite, if you want to waite, tehn he should repect that.
Your body is your temple,
respect it.
